A magnitude 7.4 earthquake occurred in the Hualien area of eastern Taiwan, but it has been confirmed that there is no impact on the operation of TSMC foundry (semiconductor contract manufacturing) plants.
According to Taiwan Economic News and foreign media on the 3rd, TSMC and other major manufacturers are reported to be operating normally.
The Taiwan Hualien Earthquake Management Bureau stated that all factories, including TSMC, Winbond, AUO, Micron Taiwan, and other major manufacturers, are currently operating normally.
