Global American pop star Taylor Swift (34) has joined the ranks of billionaires as compiled by the American economic magazine Forbes.

On the 2nd (local time), Swift stood shoulder to shoulder with other celebrities on Forbes' list of 'New Billionaires 2024.' Forbes introduced Swift as the most famous figure among the newly minted billionaires this year. They revealed that Swift has amassed an estimated fortune of $1.1 billion (1.4878 trillion KRW) through blockbuster concert revenues, album and music sales, and real estate investments.
Forbes explained, "Swift is the first musician to accumulate over $1 billion solely through singing and performing." In particular, Swift broke records for concert earnings with her 'The Eras Tour,' which toured five continents worldwide since last year, generating over $1 billion in revenue in just one year. She also set a new record for the most wins by receiving the 'Album of the Year' award for the fourth time at the Grammy Awards last February. AFP reported that "Swift owns a substantial real estate portfolio, including homes in New York, Los Angeles (LA) Beverly Hills, Nashville, and a coastal estate in Rhode Island."
Meanwhile, besides Swift, NBA legend and businessman Magic Johnson, French fashion designer Christian Louboutin, and others have newly appeared on this year's billionaire list. Swift is scheduled to release her new album, 'The Tortured Poets Department,' on the 19th.
