Item Dropped from 3rd Floor Causes Damage... Nearly an Accident
"Driver Left After Complaint... Opening Day Ruined"
An absurd story was introduced in which a ladder truck driver dropped and damaged items and then left without finishing the job. On the 2nd, a post was uploaded on the self-employed community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' describing a ridiculous experience during a business opening move. The author, Mr. A, said, "Last month, I entrusted the opening move of a third-floor business to a moving company, but there was an accident where items fell from the ladder truck."
The item reportedly fell next to Mr. A's father, who was on the first floor, creating a dangerous situation. When Mr. A protested in shock, the ladder truck driver instead shouted and did not apologize. Moreover, the driver showed signs of leaving the site after organizing the ladder truck. Although Mr. A even reported to the police, the driver eventually disappeared without completing the work.
Due to this commotion, the move was delayed by over an hour and 40 minutes, causing other problems. Mr. A had previously requested a special agreement with the moving company stating, "I do not want to disturb other businesses, so I will only use the ladder truck for a specific time," and had received a positive response. However, as the move took longer than expected, he received complaints from businesses in the same building threatening to report him for business obstruction. Mr. A said, "I asked the other moving center staff to use the elevator, but they rested until the new ladder truck arrived."
Later, when Mr. A inquired, the moving company replied, "(We are) just a platform, so it’s not our concern," and "We are not a large corporation, so we don’t have a legal team." The moving team responsible for the problem also responded, "There’s not much we can do."
Through his post, Mr. A questioned, "Was the advertisement claiming they would sincerely take responsibility and complete the move a lie?" He continued, "The furniture was damaged, it was a packing move but I had to reorganize everything, and without the furniture, I couldn’t work. What did we do wrong to be treated like this? We bought lunch and did everything we could, but the opening move was ruined," he lamented.
Self-employed people who read the story responded with comments such as "This is absurd" and "It’s impressive patience to have endured and overlooked this." One netizen empathized, saying, "The way they handled things during consultation and the actual move was so different that when I left an honest review, the company threatened to sue me for defamation. The customer center’s response was like, ‘Anyway, you moved.’"
