Operation for Two Months in May and June
Korean Air will operate a regular charter flight three times a week to 'Taichung,' a popular travel destination in Taiwan.
Korean Air announced on the 3rd that it will operate this route for about two months from the 2nd of next month until June 29.
During this period, the flight departs from Incheon Airport at 3:30 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving locally at 5:15 PM (local time). From Taichung, the flight departs at 6:50 PM (local time) and arrives at Incheon Airport at 10:40 PM. The aircraft used is a Boeing 737-8 equipped with 146 seats (8 Prestige seats and 138 Economy seats).
Taichung, Taiwan, is a city located in central Taiwan and is considered one of the three major cities along with Taipei in the north and Kaohsiung in the south. Recently, it has appeared as a travel destination in several domestic TV programs, gaining attention as a new travel spot in Taiwan.
Tickets for the Taichung regular charter flights can be purchased through the Korean Air website, mobile app, or travel agencies, just like regular airline tickets.
With this route expansion, Korean Air will operate a total of 24 weekly flights to Taiwan, including 14 weekly flights between Incheon and Taipei and 7 weekly flights between Busan and Taipei. A Korean Air official stated, "We plan to provide more convenient and diverse schedules for customers visiting Taiwan while continuously increasing passenger supply to cities with growing travel demand."
