Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) is emerging as a "saving grace" among job seekers by supporting everything from specialized technical training to practical exercises. The district announced that it is operating a "Job Training Program" that enhances job seekers' employment competitiveness and provides one-stop support from education to employment.

By running a job training program linked to employment and entrepreneurship, the district plans to help residents who face career interruptions or difficulties in reemployment due to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare achieve successful employment and stabilize their lives.

The job training programs offered in the first half of this year (March to May) include three courses: ▲Certified Caregiver National Qualification ▲New Security Guard Training ▲Landscape Technician Training Course.

These courses are highly preferred by students, meet job market demands, and have high employment linkage rates. In particular, considering the growing demand in the landscaping sector, the district newly established the Landscape Technician Training Course. This reflects social changes and shifts in job demand amid the employment crisis.

Additionally, the district entrusts each course to specialized employment training institutions so that job seekers can receive systematic lessons and various employment support services. After completing the training, the Job Plus Center assists job seekers in finding stable employment by providing employment linkage support.

The training focuses on essential education (theory and practice) required for obtaining certifications and practical work. Especially, the Certified Caregiver and Landscape Technician courses include practical training in simulated practice sites that replicate real work environments, enhancing adaptability after employment.

All courses prioritize residents who wish to find employment after completion, and the training is free of charge. For the Certified Caregiver course (April 3?4) and Security Guard training (April 15?16), on-site registration is conducted at the Job Plus Center on the respective dates. Applications for the Landscape Technician course can be submitted through the training institution’s website. If there are many applicants, participants will be selected by random draw.

Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “We will provide wholehearted support from quality education to employment linkage to resolve the employment crisis and help job seekers succeed. We will offer various job and entrepreneurship training programs to help residents grow into the workforce that companies need, keeping pace with the changing job market and labor demand.”
