A fire broke out in a high-rise apartment in Namyangju, resulting in 12 people being transported to the hospital.

According to the police and fire authorities, a fire occurred on the 15th floor of a 19-story apartment in Wabu-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, at 6:03 p.m. on the 2nd.

Due to the fire, 12 apartment residents inhaled smoke and were transported to a nearby hospital, but their lives are not believed to be in danger.

Upon receiving the fire report, the fire authorities immediately went to the scene and began extinguishing the fire, completing it within 35 minutes. It was reported that 98 firefighters and 32 vehicles, including pump trucks, were deployed to suppress the fire that day.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
