Actor Song Ha-yoon Admits Severe Disciplinary Action Due to High School School Violence Resulting in Forced Transfer

‘Jungwon→Banpo→Apgujeong’ Passed Through 3 High Schools
Agency: “1 Hour 30 Minutes Slap? Groundless”

Actress Song Ha-yoon was revealed to have caused 'school violence' during her high school years, leading to her transfer to another school.

Song Ha-yoon's agency, King Kong by Starship, stated on the 2nd, "It is true that Song Ha-yoon was forcibly transferred from Banpo High School due to school violence." They added, "The forced transfer is unrelated to the current issue, so we did not mention it. We will disclose more when the time is right."

Regarding the allegation on the comprehensive programming channel JTBC's 'Case Officer' that actress S was identified as the perpetrator of school violence, the agency said it was "unrelated" and emphasized, "She has no acquaintance with the informant." 'Case Officer' reported that informant A stated that during high school, she was beaten for an hour and 30 minutes by S, who was her senior, without knowing the reason, and that she could not resist because S's boyfriend was a delinquent.

The agency said, "We recognized the seriousness of the matter and contacted the informant to verify the facts after receiving the initial report." They added, "We requested a meeting through messenger for accurate fact-checking, but the informant refused, and when we requested a phone call, we received no response." They denied the allegations, stating, "After confirming with Song Ha-yoon, she has no acquaintance with the informant, and all the claims are false."

Song Ha-yoon is from Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, and graduated from Apgujeong High School after attending Jungwon High School and Banpo High School. When the school violence allegations surfaced, a comment posted six years ago by a netizen on an online bulletin board was reexamined. The writer said, "I am a high school classmate. She bullied and isolated a friend as part of a group and was forcibly transferred," adding, "Despite her appearance, she is a strong-willed friend."

Disciplinary actions for school violence are classified from levels 1 to 10. Levels 1 to 5 are considered relatively light punishments, but from level 6 onwards, the measures address serious offenses. The forced transfer reportedly received by Song Ha-yoon corresponds to level 8, a severe disciplinary action. Level 9 is expulsion based on the school violence committee's decision, and level 10 is a two-year detention in a juvenile detention center.
