Shinsegae Group announced on the 3rd that it will hold its largest event of the first half of the year, the ‘2024 Landers Day,’ for three days from the 5th to the 7th. Landers Day is an annual event held by Shinsegae Group to coincide with the opening of the professional baseball season, and this year, 20 affiliates have joined forces to prepare products and services worth a total of 1 trillion KRW.

Since the 1st, online affiliates such as SSG.com, Gmarket, W Concept, and Shinsegae Live Shopping have started the event, and from the 5th, offline events will continue at Emart and Shinsegae Department Store.

First, Emart plans to sell fresh food at up to half price, significantly lowering the grocery prices customers experience. Some products will be sold at special prices in limited quantities for one or two days during Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

When paying with event cards, all Korean beef grilling items (refrigerated, domestic) will be discounted by up to 50%, and imported pork belly/neck (refrigerated, 100g) will be sold 40% cheaper. Popular whiskeys such as ‘Suntory Kakubin (700ml)’ and ‘Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood (700ml)’ are 10% off, and ‘Russell Reserve 10 Year (750ml)’ is 30% off when paying with event cards. Also, when accumulating Shinsegae points, Norwegian salmon fillet sashimi (100g) is sold for 3,768 KRW, domestic eggs (30 eggs, 2 trays) and Baroissal rice (10kg, domestic) are offered at 8,980 KRW and 19,900 KRW respectively, and domestic strawberries (1.2kg) are available for 8,990 KRW. Sugar-selected Korean melons will be sold for 8,960 KRW with Shinsegae point accumulation on the 5th and 6th for two days. ‘Live abalone (medium, large, extra-large, domestic),’ introduced through cooperation between Emart, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and Wando County, can be purchased at half price, and Russian king crab (around 700g) will be available for 29,990 KRW for one day on the 6th.

At the ready-to-eat corner ‘Kitchen Deli,’ all Kitchen Deli fried chicken and Amazing direct-fire hot pot items, targeting picnic-goers, will be discounted by 30% when accumulating Shinsegae points. Also, on the 5th and 6th, a whole fresh chicken (domestic) will be sold for 6,980 KRW. Along with this, all cup noodles (for two days on Friday and Saturday), laundry detergents, gochujang (red chili paste), doenjang (soybean paste), ssamjang (wrap sauce), refrigerated ham, frozen pork cutlets, and wet tissues will be sold at 50% off or with a two-plus-one (2+1) offer when purchasing two or more. A large home appliance event will also be held in celebration of the wedding season.

Traders Wholesale Club will also offer popular food and daily necessities at discounted prices. Fresh foods such as domestic refrigerated pork belly (grade 1, pack), domestic live freshwater eel (special, 800g), strawberries (1kg), fully ripe tomatoes (2.4kg), and Atlantic grilled salmon (800g, pack) will be discounted from 2,000 KRW up to 10,000 KRW. Whiskey and wine will also be sold at special prices. The ‘Glen Grant 12 Year 700ml Decanter Package’ is available for 79,800 KRW, the ‘Delamotte Brut Spiegelau Champagne Glass Package (750ml)’ for 59,800 KRW, and three types of T7 wine (750ml) are available at 4,980 KRW each during the event.

Emart Everyday will also hold the Landers Day event for four days from the 4th to the 7th. Fresh foods such as Seongju Korean melon, Chalang sweet potatoes, Bojogae apples, and antibiotic-free budget eggs will be offered at special prices, and all frozen pizzas, frozen hot dogs, liquid detergents, and fabric softeners will be available with a one-plus-one (1+1) discount or 50% off when purchasing two or more.

This year’s Landers Day will also feature various unique baseball-related products and events. First, Emart24 has launched five baseball-themed products. These include four food items: ‘Uniform Anju Platter (6,800 KRW)’ and ‘Uniform Lunch Box (5,900 KRW)’ using baseball uniforms and stadium-shaped containers, ‘Baseball Stadium California Roll (4,200 KRW),’ and ‘Grilled Meat Burger (3,800 KRW)’ suitable for watching baseball games, as well as one tissue product, ‘Ssg-Ssak Toilet Paper (8,400 KRW),’ inspired by the SSG Landers team name.

Shinsegae Department Store is holding spring sales on sports, golf, and children’s brands such as Nike, Fila, Adidas Golf, and Daks Kids, offering discount coupons downloadable via the Shinsegae mobile app. Additionally, until the 11th, customers who purchase over 200,000 KRW with Shinsegae affiliated cards will receive a 20,000 KRW discount coupon for fashion accessories, and those who purchase over 10,000 KRW will receive a 3,000 KRW discount coupon for food and beverages (F&B).
