Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it will promote the 'New Renewable Energy Housing Support Project' for residents who install solar power, solar thermal, geothermal, and fuel cells in their homes.
When installing a 3kW solar power system (general module) in a house, 3.42 million KRW, which is 64% of the installation cost, will be subsidized.
Last year, support was provided for installations in 29 households, and this year, about 38 households are expected to benefit. The support amount for solar thermal, geothermal, and fuel cells varies depending on the equipment details and area.
Applications for solar thermal, geothermal, and fuel cells can be submitted starting on the 3rd, and for solar power starting on the 5th.
First, sign a contract with a participating company in the 'New Renewable Energy Housing Support Project,' then submit the application documents to the Korea Energy Agency.
After the support target is selected, the applicant deposits the self-payment deposit into a virtual account, which leads to final project approval. Then, after completing the construction and undergoing the verification process by the Korea Energy Agency, all procedures are completed.
For more detailed information such as the list of participating companies, please check the Jangseong-gun website under Notices/Announcements or the Korea Energy Agency's Housing Support Project website.
A county official stated, "We will contribute to reducing electricity bills and spreading eco-friendly energy through active project promotion."
