The funeral ceremony was attended by family members including Hyosung Group Chairman Cho Hyun-joon and Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-sang, Honorary Funeral Chairman Lee Hong-gu (former Prime Minister), Funeral Chairman Lee Sang-woon (Vice Chairman), Ryu Jin, Chairman of the Korea Economic Association, Kim Yoon, Chairman of the Korea-Japan Economic Association, Seo Seok-soong, Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea-Japan Economic Association, and about 300 Hyosung employees.

The funeral ceremony began with a moment of silence for the deceased, followed by a eulogy by Pastor Kim Jang-hwan (Chairman of Far East Broadcasting Company), a tribute by Chairman Ryu, and a tribute by Vice Chairman Lee.
