From the 18th, five gardens will be created in relay over two weeks
From the 'Baby Birth Commemoration Garden' to the 'Companion Garden' for the vulnerable... All generations can participate
Participants are being recruited on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website until the 5th
Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that from the 18th to the 30th, it will declare the period as the ‘Garden City Eunpyeong, Garden Creation Week’ and recruit participants and families by generation to create five gardens in a two-week relay format, called the ‘Generation-specific Signature Gardens.’
The ‘Generation-specific Signature Gardens’ project aims to build a ‘garden governance’ system where garden experts and residents can create and manage gardens together, establishing specialized gardens tailored to each generation. Families with members of the relevant generation can participate meaningfully.
On the 18th, a ‘Forest Natural Garden’ created by youth will be established at Mulpeure Neighborhood Park. On the 23rd, the ‘Baby Birth Garden’ for newborns (0-2 years old) will be created at Baekryeon Neighborhood Park, and on the 25th, the ‘Companion Garden’ for residents of all ages will be established at Bukhansan Glen Park.
On the 29th and 30th, the ‘Aengbongsan Healing Garden’ and ‘Bongsan Healing Garden’ for middle-aged and older adults will be created at Aengbongsan Family Camping Site and Bongsan Barrier-Free Forest Trail, respectively.
This project is characterized by garden experts designing specialized gardens with age-specific stories and establishing the basic foundation for garden creation, after which participants work with garden experts and citizen gardeners at each site to carry out planting and garden creation.
Among those who have completed the Eunpyeong-gu Village Gardener training, volunteers will be appointed upon request to support garden management and leisure gardening activities together with garden creation participants.
Residents wishing to participate in garden creation can apply on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website by the 5th. Priority selection benefits are given when applying together with the relevant family.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “Gardens heal our hearts, and just enjoying flowers and gardens in daily life can lower stress levels. We expect that creating generation-specific signature gardens in relay form with residents, utilizing Eunpyeong-gu’s rich natural environment, will serve as a foundation for ‘Healing City, Eunpyeong,’ where residents can receive healing in their everyday lives.”
