Selection of 5 Local Schools, Total Support of 100 Million KRW
Operation of School-Specific Programs Enhancing Future Core Competencies Education
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is operating the 'Dobong Dream School' at five schools in the area.
'Dobong Dream School' is an educational program operated through the cooperation and linkage of Dobong-gu, schools, and the local community to support students' diverse learning and healthy growth.
Prior to the operation, the district selected a total of five schools as Dream Schools last month: one elementary school (Sungmi Elementary School) and four high schools (Seoul Foreign Language High School, Seondeok High School, Seguru Fashion Design High School, and Jeongui Girls' High School).
The selection reflected changing trends by considering ▲education to strengthen future core competencies ▲school-specific special programs ▲career exploration and transitional support curricula ▲peace sensitivity of future generations ▲character development and fostering a warm school culture ▲community-linked education.
Each selected school will receive 20 million won in support for one year. Going forward, schools will operate various programs tailored to their unique characteristics.
Sungmi Elementary School will conduct 'Forest Rope Experience Play,' Seoul Foreign Language High School will run 'Junior Scholar College,' Seondeok High School will offer 'Autonomous Vehicle Education,' Seguru Fashion Design High School will hold a 'Fashion Contest,' and Jeongui Girls' High School will carry out 'Cultivating a Bright Mind Field.'
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “The district has supported public education sites through quality educational support projects including the 'Dream School.' We will continue to provide generous support for students' diverse learning and healthy growth.”
