Police Conduct Search and Seizure at Seoul Taxi Transport Business Association... Allegations of Providing Money to Union

The Taxi Transportation Business Association is under police investigation for allegedly giving money and goods to labor union officials during wage negotiations.

According to the police, the Criminal Mobile Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency conducted a search and seizure at the Seoul Taxi Transportation Business Association in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 1st, securing materials necessary to prove the charges.

The police are investigating the association, representing the management side, on suspicion of breach of trust and embezzlement, believing that during the wage negotiation process, they provided money and goods to officials of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the National Taxi Labor Union Federation (Jeontaknoryeon), affiliated with the Korean Federation of Trade Unions, representing the labor side.
