A police officer affiliated with the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul was arrested on charges of leaking investigation information related to voice phishing.
The Criminal Mobile Unit of the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency announced on the morning of the 1st that they arrested Officer A, who belongs to the Criminal Division of the Gangbuk Police Station, on charges of official secret leakage and conducted a search of some offices at the Gangbuk Police Station.
According to the police, Officer A is suspected of leaking investigation information related to voice phishing cases handled by the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency.
A police official stated, “Since this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot disclose detailed information.”
