Various Experiential Activities for Emotional Stability
Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from March 24 to 27, it operated a smartphone overdependence and addiction prevention program for 20 Dream Start children at the High Healing Center in Gangwon-do for 2 nights and 3 days.
This program was promoted after being selected for the 2024 social contribution program (Into the Forest) contest project hosted by Kangwon Land. It was composed of various experiential activities designed to help children learn the proper use of media devices and promote psychological and emotional stability.
The children participating in the program experienced diverse activities to improve their control over smartphones and self-management skills, such as natural healing programs through forests, challenge addiction breaking, detox challenges, and healing orchestra.
An official from the county stated, “This program will be a great opportunity for children to grow as healthy members of society by fostering friendships with friends in nature without smartphones.”
Meanwhile, Gurye-gun Dream Start provides various customized services such as integrated case management, welfare, health, counseling, and parent education for vulnerable children under 12 and their families to promote healthy growth and development.
