Sancheong County Nonghyup, Gyeongsang National University, and Korea Agro-Fisheries Partnership Agreement
Human Resource Development and Joint Research in Agricultural Life and Bio Fields
On the 1st, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced that it signed a business agreement for the "Mutual Growth of Agricultural Development and Distribution Industry in Sancheong-gun" with Sancheong-gun Nonghyup, Gyeongsang National University, and Daehanminguk Nongsusan at the Agricultural Technology Center's main conference room.
Attending the agreement ceremony were Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong-gun; Cho Changho, chairman of Sancheong-gun Nonghyup; Kim Mincheol, dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at Gyeongsang National University; Kim Samcheol, director of the Agricultural Life and Bio ICC Center; and Jung Jongcheong, CEO of Daehanminguk Nongsusan.

Through this agreement, these institutions agreed to cooperate in supporting education for human resource development in the agricultural life and bio fields and in joint research and development.
In particular, through the agreement with Daehanminguk Nongsusan, a large distribution channel that generates annual sales of over 30 billion KRW through wholesale and retail of agricultural products and operation of shopping malls, they secured sales channels to sell large quantities of Sancheong-gun's excellent agricultural specialties and decided to join forces for the mutual growth of the agricultural distribution industry.
Additionally, Gyeongsang National University plans to hold seminars for strawberry farmers and beekeepers during the "2024 Sancheong Agricultural Specialties Grand Festival," which will be held from the 12th to the 14th in the Donguibogam Village area.
Governor Lee Seunghwa said, "I hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity to overcome the crisis facing agriculture and rural areas amid difficult internal and external conditions," and added, "We will achieve agricultural development in Sancheong-gun through joint development of advanced technologies, nurturing excellent agricultural talents, expanding scientific agricultural practices, and stabilizing distribution channels."
He emphasized, "We will also make further efforts to establish a system where young farmers can have hope and prepare for the future in Sancheong."
