Cheongsong-gun Holds 'Policy and Public Project Development Capacity Building Workshop'

From March 27 to 28, Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a 'Policy (Public Project) Development Capacity Building Workshop' for 30 employees at grade 6 and below at Sono Moon Danyang Resort in Danyang-gun, Chungbuk Province.

Cheongsong-gun held a policy (public project) development capacity-building workshop from March 27 to 28.

This workshop was organized to improve practical job skills, including understanding the central government's policy directions and exploring ways to develop and implement policies.

On the first day, professional instructors including Lee Ho-seon, CEO of the Korea Policy Capacity Development Institute, gave lectures on topics such as overall trend changes in South Korea, the flow of national and local government finances, and approaches to major public contest projects and national subsidy projects by government ministries.

On the second day, teams developed policy tasks in eight major policy areas including ▲cultural tourism ▲revitalization of alleyway commercial districts ▲smart agriculture and livestock, and prepared business plans to implement these policies.

Accordingly, the participating employees used the policy information acquired through the lectures to discover eight policy tasks in various fields such as the ▲Cheongsong Travel Nuri Project ▲development of the Jinbo Guest Market experience program ▲AI-based fruit tree surveillance and smart pest control system construction project, and spent time establishing step-by-step implementation plans to realize these tasks.

Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “This workshop will not only strengthen each employee’s capacity for policy development but also significantly help enhance organizational flexibility through the process of employees of various ranks and age groups thinking and communicating together. We will continue to expand opportunities for policy development that gather diverse perspectives and opinions from different ranks and generations as much as possible,” adding, “We will strive to ensure that the discovered policy tasks are well utilized for the development of Cheongsong-gun.”
