Enhance Research Skills with Practical Statistics Using SPSS
Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) held a special statistics lecture for graduate students over two days on March 29 and 30.
The lecture, organized by the Department of Counseling Clinical Psychology and the Dongmyung Psychological Health Research Institute (Director Choi Sung-jin), featured Dr. Lee Eun-kyung from Ewha Institute of Social Sciences, who taught basic statistics and advanced statistical techniques.
Dongmyung University is conducting a special lecture on statistical techniques using SPSS for graduate students.
About 40 master's and doctoral graduate students participated in the lecture, which focused on practical fieldwork in the statistics industry, covering data management such as data coding and variable creation, correlation, difference, regression analysis using the social science statistical package (SPSS), process macros, and thesis writing methods.
Kim Yang-eon, a doctoral student, shared, “I have always been interested in advanced studies of research methodology, and the help from an expert in the related field was very beneficial.”
The Department of Counseling Clinical Psychology at Dongmyung University currently has about 50 master's and doctoral graduate students actively conducting research as counseling, clinical, and forensic psychology experts. The Dongmyung Psychological Health Research Institute provides professional psychological counseling services through various counseling and psychology-related education programs such as counseling case study groups, counseling support, and psychological testing workshops, striving to promote mental health in the local community and activate psychological services.
