Kia announced on the 1st that it is recruiting participants for the 'Pangyo Techno Valley Career Tour' program, which is conducted nationwide for middle and high school students, until the 12th.
The 'Pangyo Techno Valley Career Tour' is part of Kia's social contribution activities for youth aimed at nurturing future generations. By touring major companies in Pangyo Techno Valley, a global convergence research and development (R&D) hub, it provides young people with opportunities to explore careers in future advanced industries.
Kia plans to offer a bus tour visiting key institutions and companies located in Pangyo Techno Valley, job mentoring by professionals from future advanced industry companies, and technical experiences at specialized IT institutions, helping youth experience the industrial atmosphere that is difficult to learn in the classroom.
In particular, this year, the number of sessions and recruitment scale have been expanded compared to last year. From May to October, a total of 20 sessions will be held, which is 8 more than the previous year, and 600 participants will be recruited, an increase of 245 compared to last year.
Additionally, a special program is prepared for youth from regional children's centers and orphanages who might be excluded from career experience opportunities. Utilizing the summer vacation period, a Kia base tour program will be organized in August to visit the 'Kia Flagship Store' and 'Kia 360', providing career experience opportunities.
Participation in the Pangyo Techno Valley Career Tour can be applied for through the QR code on the promotional poster, and group applications by class are accepted. Up to 30 students per class can apply, with priority given to schools in provincial or rural farming and fishing villages.
A Kia official said, "We have prepared various programs to help young people find their dreams," adding, "We will continue to support future generations so that they can independently plan their careers."
