Daejeon City Improves Taxi Services for Pregnant Women... Establishes MyData Platform

Daejeon City Improves Taxi Services for Pregnant Women... Establishes MyData Platform Daejeon City will implement the 'Pregnant Women Transportation Support Service' starting from the 1st. / Daejeon City

Daejeon City announced that starting from the 1st, it will launch the 'Pregnant Women Mobility Support Service' to facilitate the movement of pregnant women.

The city introduced this service considering the inconveniences of the existing 'Sarangnanum Call' pregnant women mobility support service, where the number of voucher taxis available was limited to 210, causing long waiting times.

In collaboration with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) and Daejeon Transportation Corporation, the city created a MyData platform (MoveMate) utilizing data to build a service environment where pregnant women can use not only voucher taxis but all private and regular taxis in Daejeon.

By using the MyData platform (MoveMate), pregnant women can use passing taxis without reservations, and taxi platforms such as Kakao Taxi and Onda Taxi are also available.

To use the service, pregnant women must register at the Daejeon Transportation Vulnerable Mobility Support Center and have a mobile phone registered in their name along with a Daejeon Sarang Card.

Choi Jong-moon, Director of the Transportation and Construction Bureau of Daejeon City, said, "We expect that the service utilizing the MyData platform (MoveMate) will significantly improve transportation convenience for pregnant women," and added, "We will continue to make efforts to enhance mobility convenience for transportation-vulnerable groups."
