Claiming "There was a bug," ate it all and demanded a refund... "It's inhumane to eat like that"

Complaint of "There is a bug in the cake box" leads to refund
After collection, the food was all eaten... "Seems intentional," critics say

"There are bugs in the box, so please refund." A story from a self-employed person who collected the food following such a customer request but found that most of it had already been eaten has sparked public outrage. On the 31st, on the self-employed community 'Apeunikka Sajangida,' Mr. A, who runs a dessert cafe, shared his story, saying, "I recently experienced a ridiculous situation while working late into the night." Mr. A said he received a cake order worth 30,000 won around 11 p.m. the previous day.

However, after the food was delivered, Mr. A received a request from the customer saying, "There are bugs in the box, so please refund." The photo the customer sent to Mr. A showed a small bug inside a white box. Although Mr. A was surprised to hear about a bug that was not visible when packing, he canceled the payment on the delivery app and proceeded to collect the food. He asked the customer to keep the food as it was.

About an hour later, when Mr. A opened the collected food box, one of the three cake slices was missing, and the remaining two were mostly eaten. The drinks that were delivered together did not arrive. According to the delivery driver, the customer claimed to have "thrown away some of the food." It was also reported that the same customer requested a refund and collected food from another business earlier that morning.

Mr. A said, "I don't think it was a coincidence that the delivery driver collected food twice from the same house in one day," and added, "As a struggling self-employed person, I want to sue for fraud, but I don't know how to handle this. I'm upset." He shared a photo showing most of the cake’s plastic wrapping peeled off, saying, "If there were bugs and the order was canceled, I don't think anyone could eat it like that."

In response, netizens comforted Mr. A with comments such as, "It looks like trash that was eaten and thrown away," "It's fortunate the delivery driver testified," "If it’s twice in one day, it’s intentional," and "Collect the food first, then refund; if the food is already eaten, refuse the refund."
