The First Store Opening at Hanwha Operated Site
American hamburger brand Five Guys will open its 4th store at Seoul Station on the 8th. Five Guys is a business led by Kim Dong-seon, Vice President and Head of Strategy at Hanwha Galleria, who is the third son of Kim Seung-yeon, Chairman of Hanwha Group.
FG Korea, the operator of Five Guys, announced on the 1st that it will open the 4th Five Guys store on the 2nd floor Market Zone of Connect Place inside Seoul Station, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The Market Zone is a complex shopping and cultural space operated by Hanwha Connect, a real estate development and management company.
The Seoul Station store has a sales area of 488.3㎡ and 172 seats, making it the largest Five Guys store in Korea. The business hours are from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM. The window seats feature folding door-style interiors to enhance openness while creating an outdoor terrace atmosphere.
An FG Korea official said, “We expect accessibility to the store to improve significantly for customers outside Seoul,” adding, “The 4th Five Guys store is the first store to open in a Hanwha-operated business site.”
There will also be an opening event for customers. On the opening day, the first 100 customers will receive a Five Guys bag and picnic mat set as a gift. Customers who follow the official Five Guys Korea Instagram account will receive Five Guys stickers.
In February this year, FG Korea was recognized for its world-class operational capabilities by winning two out of five categories at the U.S. Five Guys Franchise Awards.
Oh Min-woo, CEO of FG Korea, said, “Seoul Station is a vibrant hub where people from various regions gather and interact, so we expect many customers to visit.” FG Korea plans to open more than 15 stores domestically over the next five years.
