Missing Deputy Mayor of Dongjak-gu, Seoul Found Dead Near Guro Station

The Deputy Mayor of Dongjak-gu, Seoul, was found dead inside a Seoul subway station on the morning of the 31st.

According to the Guro Police Station and fire authorities in Seoul, police discovered Deputy Mayor A at Guro Station on Seoul Subway Line 1 around 7:40 a.m. that day. A was confirmed deceased.

A was reportedly rescued after attempting an extreme act a few days earlier and was receiving treatment at Korea University Guro Hospital. It is reported that he left the hospital early that morning.

The police had been tracking his whereabouts after receiving a missing person report that morning.

The police believe A took his own life and are investigating his movements and the exact circumstances of his death.
