Actors Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol broke up two weeks after publicly revealing their relationship. It was a two-week period that drew public attention due to eyewitness accounts, suspicions of a rebound relationship, and subsequent clarifications.

On the afternoon of the 30th, a representative from Ryu Jun-yeol's agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, "Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee have broken up."

Han So-hee's agency, 9ato Entertainment, also released a statement that day saying, "Han So-hee has ended her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol," adding, "Both have realized that their roles as actors are more important. They promised not to expend emotions on personal matters any longer."

The dating rumors between Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol began on the 15th with an eyewitness account from a Japanese tourist. The tourist, who spotted the two in Hawaii, posted about it on social media, sparking the dating rumors.

Both agencies took a cautious stance, saying, "It is a private matter, so we cannot confirm," but Hyeri, who had been in a relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol for 7 to 8 years, left a comment on social media saying "Interesting," which fueled numerous speculations about the two.

Han So-hee, facing suspicions from netizens about a rebound relationship, posted on social media, "I like the 'Rebound Relationship' program, but it does not exist in my life," adding, "I find this quite amusing too," which escalated the situation into a conflict between Hyeri and Han So-hee.

On the 16th, Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol confirmed their relationship. Subsequently, both Han So-hee and Hyeri posted apologies regarding any harm caused to each other.

Through social media, Hyeri apologized, saying, "I sincerely apologize for the misunderstandings and controversies caused by my personal feelings," and explained, "In November, there was news about ending an 8-year relationship. The decision was not made hastily, and even after the breakup news, we talked about discussing things further. However, since that conversation, we have had no contact or meetings," clarifying her post and expressing regret.

Afterwards, the controversy surrounding the two seemed to settle, but on the 29th, Han So-hee posted on her Instagram that her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol was definitely not a 'rebound relationship' and questioned the intentions behind Hyeri’s initial post.

In that post, Han So-hee described her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol, saying, "Unlike the immature relationships of the past, it’s not all about appearances, and it felt like my body and mind became healthier as he helped me hold onto my precarious points inside."

Han So-hee later deleted the post.

The next day, on the 30th, Han So-hee revealed the breakup by posting a photo of Nicole Kidman, who had just finished a divorce lawsuit with Tom Cruise, on her blog.

Han So-hee's agency stated, "Han So-hee has made things difficult for herself and the public due to personal emotions. The way of communication was not right, and we apologize. We will accept any criticism. The agency takes significant responsibility for not taking good care of the actor. We failed to properly act as a nest. We are reflecting on this," they said.
