Jungjinkong Recruits '2024 Challenge Diagnosis Participating Companies' to Restore SME Dynamism

Field-Specific Expert On-Site Visits

The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 31st that it is recruiting first-round participants for the Challenge Diagnosis program to expand the sustainable growth foundation of small and venture businesses and enhance the effectiveness of government policy support.


Challenge Diagnosis is a problem-solving diagnostic program in which experts in each field identify issues faced by small businesses, analyze the causes, and provide solutions tailored to the characteristics of the companies.

The eligible applicants are small businesses engaged in manufacturing with sales of 5 billion KRW or more. Final selection will be made through a review committee among the applicants. The Corporation plans to select about 50 companies in this first recruitment. The second recruitment is scheduled to take place around June.


Target companies choose one of four detailed support programs in the fields of ▲production management ▲quality control ▲marketing management ▲financial management, and receive intensive diagnosis from experts in the related field. Field experts will conduct intensive diagnosis through on-site visits to the selected companies from April to June, totaling 10 sessions. After the diagnosis is completed, the Corporation plans to guide outstanding companies to linked support projects.


Kang Seok-jin, Director of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, said, “The Corporation will actively support small businesses in overcoming crises and achieving results through problem-solving diagnostics that reflect voices from the field,” adding, “Challenge Diagnosis will serve as a foothold for companies to achieve innovative growth by acting as an opportunity to restore the dynamism of small businesses.”
