Iluko Participates in the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Conference

Illuco participated in the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) held from March 8 to 12, marking a successful debut in the United States. The AAD is the world's largest exhibition with over 20,000 members. This exhibition attracted more than 20,000 healthcare professionals and around 350 participating companies.

In particular, Illuco's dermatoscope (a skin lesion diagnostic device) and Loupes product line, which had attracted attention at global medical exhibitions such as Arab Health and Medica, received FDA approval.

A company representative stated, “The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) is an event where leading global companies in the international medical industry and cutting-edge technologies gather in one place,” adding, “We demonstrated our products and technological capabilities at this largest-scale conference in the world.”

Illuco is a company with world-class optical technology. It possesses the world's best optical lens manufacturing/coating technology and prism processing technology, supplying optical design services and core optical components to leading domestic and international companies. Based on its proprietary optical technology, Illuco has developed and sells ‘medical loupes and headlights,’ which are surgical site magnifiers used by dentists, surgeons, and veterinarians in medical settings.

Additionally, the dermatoscope, a skin lesion diagnostic device, was selected as a ‘World-Class Product’ by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. In Korea, it is used in most university hospitals such as Seoul National University Hospital, Asan Medical Center, Samsung Medical Center, and Severance Hospital. In Australia, where the incidence of skin cancer is high, the dermatoscope ranked first in sales among similar devices.

John Kim, Illuco’s sales manager for the Americas, said, “All our products are fully prepared with CE MDR and FDA registration,” and stated that, leveraging this exhibition, Illuco will actively increase its market share in North and South America through collaboration with ILLUCO USA based in California.
