BTS, A Feast of Humanities

The music and art of Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) have been interpreted and analyzed from a humanities perspective. The author has taught Anglo-American culture at a university for 20 years. While researching the Korean Wave, he himself became deeply captivated by BTS's charm. The author states that BTS sublimated Jung's psychological theories into the art of music and music videos. It is proven that BTS music videos are intricately woven with intertextuality across various academic and artistic fields, and the relationship between BTS and ARMY is analyzed from the perspectives of 'Reception Aesthetics' sparked in 1960s Europe and 'Reader-Response Criticism' from 1980s America. Uncomfortable but Warm Stories of Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy

The personal rehabilitation and bankruptcy system provides a new start opportunity for those facing economic hardship due to unmanageable debt. However, from the creditor's standpoint, it can be an uncomfortable system that infringes on property rights. A current bankruptcy chief has faithfully recorded numerous stories that unfold in rehabilitation courts. It contains the pain and hope of debtors, the complaints and grievances of creditors, and the discomfort and anguish of the officials in charge. The author emphasizes the necessity of the rehabilitation and bankruptcy system, stating that systems for the vulnerable must always be prepared. (Written by Bae Woon-gi / Luak)

70 Ways to Cross the Hell Called Life

This book explains the philosophical world of Schopenhauer, who was called the 'philosopher of pessimism' and a 'pessimist.' Books related to Schopenhauer have been steadily popular since last year. His cynicism, that life is suffering and the world is inherently a bad place, ironically provided comfort and courage to live for the public. Based on Schopenhauer's representative works, The World as Will and Representation and On the Wisdom of Life, the book explains his philosophy. Ten themes such as reason, suffering, and death are explored through 70 aphorisms and commentaries. (Written by Lee Dong-yong / Chusubat)
