The Korea Financial Investment Association announced on the 29th that the number of subscribers to the Individual Savings Account (ISA) surpassed 5 million for the first time in 8 years since its launch in March 2016.
As of the end of last month, the number of ISA subscribers was 5,113,000, with a total subscription amount of 25.3604 trillion won.
With the introduction of the investment brokerage type, which can only be handled by securities companies, and the recent government announcement of expanded tax benefits, about 127,000 people subscribed in January alone this year. The number of subscribers increased by 2.6 times compared to the end of 2020, and the subscription amount increased by more than 3.9 times.
