Korean Air announced that starting from the 1st of next month, it will distribute new uniforms to employees working in maintenance, aerospace, cargo, and ramp operations.
Design elements for safety have been added. Special fabric that can prevent electrical system accidents caused by static electricity was used. The uniforms are designed to include pads to protect the knees. The summer uniforms have mesh panels on the back of the knees for better ventilation. Reflective tape that reflects light was attached to make employees easily visible even in dark or distant conditions. The winter jumpers and vests use 3M products, which have high luminance and are said to be clearly visible from afar.

To accommodate various work environments, items such as T-shirts, vests, jumpers, and windbreakers were subdivided by type and season. Eco-friendly certified functional material Sympatex was used. It has the function of maintaining a constant body temperature, does not emit toxic substances underground, and is 100% biodegradable.
The airline changed its safety field uniforms for the first time in 38 years since 1986. The opinions of employees who tried on the uniforms were reflected. The uniforms were developed according to the characteristics of each field of work. Previously, in May of last year, the company replaced safety shoes for field employees, which received positive feedback.
