Resumption of Local Grassroots Safety Culture Promotion Organizational Activities

The Busan Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency held a regular working meeting of the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Team on the 28th at the 3rd floor of BIFC Camco Maru.

On the 28th, the Busan Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency held a regular working-level meeting of the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Team.

This regular working meeting, conducted to reduce major accidents in the Busan area and promote safety culture awareness, discussed the second-year operation plan of the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Team launched in 2023 according to the major accident reduction roadmap, shared safety culture activities of participating organizations, and listened to suggestions.

The Safety Culture Practice Promotion Team is a grassroots safety culture dissemination organization starting from the local level, moving away from government-led safety culture expansion activities, and is carrying out various activities to ensure that both labor and management voluntarily implement safety activities.

Through this regular working meeting, the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Agency collected and shared this year’s safety culture activities of each participating organization and plan to intensively link the three major safety campaigns of the Safety Culture Practice Promotion Team in 2024?① Safety, Absolutely Keep It!, ② My Safety Rule, and ③ Anmyeodeulgi Campaign?with on-site safety culture activities.

Three Major Safety Campaigns

① Safety, Absolutely Keep It! Campaign: Posting messages in hazardous factors and areas within local institutions and workplaces

② My Safety Rule Campaign: Establishing and sharing self-safety codes considering the characteristics of each workplace

③ Anmyeodeulgi Campaign: Safety message exposure activities meaning ‘Safety permeates daily life’
