Samsung Electronics Launches Bespoke Induction with 'Remote Control' Support

The Only Domestic Induction Cooker with Remote Control Applied

Samsung Electronics will launch the 2024 model 'Bespoke Induction,' the only domestic induction product equipped with remote control functionality, on the 29th. This product is also a smart device that automatically adjusts the heat power through artificial intelligence (AI) features.

The Bespoke Induction is a product that leads a new trend in the domestic induction market with powerful heat output of up to 3400W, allowing multiple dishes to be cooked at once, and a white glass design.

This year's new model includes a smart control feature that can be operated via mobile for more convenient and safer use. It is the first among Samsung Electronics' induction products and also the first in the domestic induction market.

In Korea, remote control functionality for induction cooktops had been legally prohibited for safety reasons. However, Samsung Electronics applied for a regulatory sandbox with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy based on safety design technology compliant with the U.S. safety standard (UL858) last year and received a demonstration exemption permit to implement this feature.

The new product is equipped with a 'Safety Notification' feature that uses GPS technology to detect when the user is away and notifies if the induction burner is operating, prompting the user to turn off the power. It also added a 'Remote Lock' function that locks the induction buttons to prevent accidental operation of the burner at home.

Additionally, it applies 16 existing safety features of the Bespoke Induction, such as output control and residual heat indication.

It also features an 'AI Boil-Over Prevention' function that reduces heat to prevent water, soup, or ready meals from boiling over by using a vibration detection sensor. The built-in sensor uses machine learning on vibration data to predict the boiling point of water.

Other features include ▲a fan noise minimization design and high-frequency noise reduction 'Dual Cook Noise Cancelling (DNC)' technology for quiet cooking ▲'Auto Customized Cooking' that automatically sets heat and time according to various menus including cast iron cookware ▲'Scan Cook,' which allows cooking by scanning meal kit or ready meal barcodes and sending cooking values via the SmartThings app.

In terms of design, it is slimly designed to allow vertical serial installation with the Bespoke dishwasher without the need for spacer materials.

Lee Muhyung, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions Division, said, "Samsung Electronics Bespoke Induction has applied remote control functionality needed in daily life, following powerful heat output, white top plate application, and the introduction of Scan Cook." He added, "We will continue to develop products that enhance everyday convenience and safety."
