In this wage and collective agreement, both labor and management agreed on ▲ a 3.3% wage increase for positions from senior staff to manager ▲ introduction of a low-dose lung CT support system for health management of employees working in the cooking section ▲ implementation of protective announcement broadcasts for customer-facing workers. Additionally, considering labor environment and social changes, further updates were reflected in the welfare regulations.

Homeplus will increase wages by 3.3% for positions from store senior staff to manager, and from headquarters senior staff to full-time positions. For other positions, the increase rate will be applied differentially based on performance. This wage increase will be applied starting from the April salary, and retroactive payments for the period from January to March of this year will be paid together with the April salary. At the same time, to commemorate three consecutive years of dispute-free settlements and to express gratitude to employees, Homeplus will provide all employees with an additional Homeplus gift certificate worth 100,000 KRW.

Hwang Jeong-hee, Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Homeplus, stated, "2024 is a crucial year that will determine Homeplus's sustainable growth," adding, "In the wage and collective bargaining negotiations, both labor and management shared a consensus on the necessity of overcoming the crisis and achieved a stable settlement for three consecutive years through a magnanimous decision. Moreover, through the Hanmaeum Council (Labor-Management Council), the employee representative body, efforts were made for constructive and productive communication, which is highly meaningful as it secured internal momentum for a new leap forward."

Meanwhile, Homeplus was the first in the distribution industry in 2019 to convert all indefinite-term contract employees to regular positions.
