Recruiting 45 Flea Market Teams and 10 Street Performance Teams Until April 12

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is recruiting flea market sellers and busking performers to participate in the ‘Your Geumcheon Market Busking DAY’ until April 12.

‘Your Geumcheon Market Busking DAY’ is an event organized to promote eco-friendly consumption culture and expand the base of volunteer activities. It will be held at the Geumcheon-gu Office Plaza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 27.

Flea market sellers can sell used items and handmade crafts that are no longer used at home at individually provided booths. The number of items for sale is limited to 50 per person, and recyclable items such as clothing, toys, children’s books, and miscellaneous goods can be sold. Items that are broken or damaged and cannot be reused, as well as food sales, are prohibited.

Street performance participants can freely perform on a small stage specially prepared for the event. To ensure smooth performance operation and encourage audience participation, sound equipment will be installed and a professional MC will host the event.

The ‘Geumcheon Eco Resource Exchange Shop’ will also be operated, where transparent PET bottles, cans, and used batteries can be exchanged for toilet paper or designated waste bags.

At the carbon neutrality lifestyle practice booth, carbon neutrality policies will be promoted, and experiential programs such as crafts using recycled socks and refilling detergent containers brought by participants will be offered.

The volunteer promotion booth will operate with volunteer clubs to promote the 1365 Volunteer Portal and hold new member registration events.

Until April 12, 45 teams for the flea market and 10 teams for street performances will be recruited. Applications can be submitted online via Google Forms (for flea market and street performances), and those who have difficulty using the internet can apply in person at the Volunteer Center on the basement first floor of the district office. The selection results will be individually notified on April 15.

Last year, 46 teams participated, and 94.6% of participants responded that they were satisfied in the satisfaction survey.
