Dobong-gu Supports Self-Development Book Purchase Costs for 19-Year-Olds 'Up to 100,000 KRW'
Supports 80% of Book Purchase Costs per Person, Up to 100,000 KRW

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will provide up to 100,000 KRW in book purchase support to 19-year-old (born in 2005) youth residing in Dobong-gu.
This is to encourage young people taking their first steps into society and to help them develop their self-improvement capabilities.
The support targets youths born in 2005 who reside in Dobong-gu as per the resident registration certificate on the application date and whose income is at or below 150% of the median income.
Support is provided only for books purchased from January 2024 onward, covering 80% of the book purchase expenses per person, up to a maximum of 100,000 KRW. The support funds will be paid around the 20th of the following month after verifying eligibility and supporting documents.
The application period is from April 1 to December 13. Youths wishing to apply can download the application form from the Dobong-gu website, fill it out, and submit it along with the required documents via email to the person in charge. Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, “I hope that the book purchase support will help young people starting their careers to envision and plan their futures, even if just a little.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to support Dobong-gu youth in developing their abilities and achieving their dreams.”
