The six selected sites are ▲Ssangmun-dong 81 area in Dobong-gu ▲Jangan-dong 134-15 area in Dongdaemun-gu ▲Sinwol 5-dong 72 area in Yangcheon-gu ▲Jeongneung-dong 898-16 area in Seongbuk-gu ▲Mia-dong 345-1 area in Gangbuk-gu ▲Sillim-dong 419 area in Gwanak-gu.

The Ssangmun-dong 81 area in Dobong-gu, Mia-dong 345-1 area in Gangbuk-gu, and Sillim-dong 419 area in Gwanak-gu have high resident consent rates and a high proportion of semi-basement houses, making urgent residential environment improvement necessary.

The Jangan-dong 134-15 area in Dongdaemun-gu and Sinwol 5-dong 72 area in Yangcheon-gu have a high proportion of semi-basement houses within the district and are places where infrastructure linkage is possible together with nearby public redevelopment projects and apartment complexes.

The Jeongneung-dong 898-16 area in Seongbuk-gu is a densely populated area of poor low-rise old houses, selected as a candidate site due to the need for residential environment improvement, including plans to relax height regulations in scenic districts and residential complex plans for low-rise housing areas on the mountain foothills.

The selected candidate sites will begin the maintenance plan and new integrated planning service from the first half of this year. The maintenance plan will be established by collecting residents' opinions.

According to the anti-speculation measures for redevelopment candidate sites, the 'right calculation reference date' for the newly selected integrated redevelopment areas will be applied as the date when the district mayor recommends the candidate site. In the future, these areas will also be designated as land transaction permission zones and building permit restriction zones.

Han Byung-yong, Director of Housing Policy at Seoul City, said, "The selected candidate sites are areas with poor infrastructure and in need of residential environment improvement. We will provide administrative support so that the residential environment can be improved by supplying quality housing through redevelopment projects."
