The U.S. Department of Commerce announced on the 28th (local time) that the final GDP growth rate for the fourth quarter of last year was 3.4% annualized.
This is a 0.2 percentage point upward revision from the preliminary estimate of 3.2% released last month.
The U.S. reports economic growth rates three times: advance, second, and final estimates. The final estimate incorporates economic activity indicators that were not included in the preliminary estimate.
