Mr. A is accused of killing his uncle, Mr. B (in his 70s), with a weapon at a residence in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi Province, between late January and early February. It was found that he wrapped the body in a blanket and left it on the veranda of the residence for about a week.

The police responded on the afternoon of the 7th of last month after receiving a report from Mr. B’s son stating, "I can hear the ringtone of a cellphone inside the house, but my father is not answering." They forcibly opened the locked door and discovered Mr. B’s body inside.

Investigations revealed that Mr. A had lived together with Mr. B in a rental house under Mr. B’s name for 28 years. After Mr. B’s parents passed away, he had been taking care of his nephew Mr. A, who had no steady job.

Mr. A, who had previously been diagnosed with a mental illness, reportedly gave incoherent statements during the police investigation, including claiming that Mr. B was a "stranger" to him.
