Busan Disabled Bowling Festival to be Held... The 20th Hanmaeum Disabled Bowling Tournament Hosted

80 Participants, Expanding Bowling Base and Opportunities for Participation in Recreational Sports

A bowling festival featuring over 80 disabled participants from the Busan area will take place on the 29th.

The Busan City Hanmaeum Disabled Support Center (Director Jeon Jin-ho) will hold the 20th Hanmaeum Disabled Bowling Tournament at 10 a.m. on that day at Woosung Bowling Alley in Sasang-gu, Busan.

This tournament was organized to expand the base of disabled bowling and provide opportunities for disabled individuals to participate in recreational sports.

Participants in the tournament are disabled residents of Busan who either live in facilities or have an interest in bowling.

The organizers announced that about 80 people will participate from Hanmaeum Vocational Rehabilitation Center, Dream Workshop, Cherry Hill Daycare Center for Disabled Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities in Busan, Firefly Daycare Center, Sasang-gu Disabled Sports Association, and other disability-related facilities within Sasang-gu.

All participants will receive souvenirs, and players who place 1st to 3rd will be awarded trophies.

Director Jeon Jin-ho, who organized the event, said, “We hold this event annually to discover outstanding players who can aim for national competitions and to improve the competitive skills of disabled bowling,” adding, “We hope this will be a festival of communication and harmony that improves awareness of disability and non-disability and allows everyone to enjoy a healthy life.”
