Brothers Lim Jong-yoon and Jong-hoon shared their thoughts and future plans at a press conference following the HanmiScience shareholders' meeting held on the 28th in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. Having succeeded in taking control of the HanmiScience board, the brothers expressed gratitude to Shin Dong-guk, chairman of Hanyang Precision who played a 'keyman' role, and to the minority shareholders. They also conveyed their desire to move forward together with their mother, Song Young-sook, chairwoman of Hanmi Pharmaceutical Group, and their sister, Lim Joo-hyun, vice chairwoman.

Lim Jong-yoon, director of HanmiScience, met with reporters immediately after the shareholders' meeting and said, "I thought I would be happy, but my heart aches a lot." At the subsequent press conference, he promised to prevent recurrence by saying, "I hope such incidents never happen again" and "I will make sure that a situation like today does not occur again."

Lim also expressed gratitude to the minority shareholders and Chairman Shin. He emphasized, "Shareholders are the owners," and added, "Shareholders give us trust, so they are even more important than customers." He continued, "The shareholders of HanmiScience became one team and won against the court and the (National) Pension Service," emphasizing, "It is a great consolation that the united strength of everyone won." In particular, he said, "I want to thank Chairman Shin Dong-guk for trusting us," and added, "He has been with us since the company was first established, and I hope he will continue to play such a role."

He also revealed management plans for HanmiScience. He said, "We will reestablish and restore the Hanmi brand," and added, "We will become a company that complies with ESG (environment, social, governance) and creates value." He continued, "I have talked a lot about what we want to do in the future, and I will show that these were meaningful discussions," and said, "We will make it a company where people can freely learn and understand."

Finally, Lim said, "My mother and younger sister may have been greatly disappointed by this situation, but I want to go together with them," expressing, "There are many things to do, so I hope those who left will come back." His younger brother, director Lim Jong-hoon, also emphasized, "Since Hanmi's history does not end here, we will show the company's progress," and added, "Although my brother and I stand here today, we will create opportunities for the whole family to talk together in the future."
