"Judging Prosecutorial Dictatorship and Focusing on Restoring People's Livelihood"
Min Hyung-bae, the Democratic Party candidate for Gwangsan-gu (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, met with transportation workers and sanitation workers as his first activity on the 28th, when the official campaign for the 22nd general election began in earnest.
On that day, Min officially started his campaign early in the morning at the Cheomdan Public Garage, greeting transportation workers, sanitation workers, and citizens.
He stated, "I will work hard to properly judge the prosecutorial dictatorship regime and focus on restoring people’s livelihoods so that the diligent citizens who work from dawn have no worries."
At the Cheomdan Public Garage (terminal), about a hundred buses belonging to Samwon Transportation, Daechang Transportation, and Daejin Transportation are parked. There are also restaurants and lounges for bus transportation workers, as well as a CNG charging station.
Min said, "This morning, I was wondering where to start my campaign, and I came here because I thought many people start their day here first, so I wanted to greet them."
Kang Won-il, head of Daejin Transportation headquarters, explained, "Welcome. Not only the drivers who take the first bus out from here but also many citizens who take the first bus are here. Elderly people going to security jobs, restaurant workers, and those heading to the field all take the first bus."
He then had a conversation with the drivers resting before the first bus departure.
Bus driver A said, "It's good that you came to meet us at our workplace. Politicians need to understand the real lives of citizens. They should not be like President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is completely unaware of the realities." He added, "Please listen carefully and understand well, Congressman."
Min replied, "Listening carefully to the citizens and realizing their wishes is the core of my politics. I will work hard as you said."
Afterwards, from 7:30 a.m., he joined Park Gyun-taek, the candidate for Gwangsan-gu (Gap), to greet commuters at the Eodeungsan Pharmacy intersection in Gwangsan-gu.
Candidate Min Hyung-bae said, "The prosecutorial dictatorship regime is severely destroying people’s livelihoods and democracy. To reverse the collapse of livelihoods, economic downfall, and the crisis of peace on the Korean Peninsula, a great politician is needed." He continued, "A great politician is not someone with a high rank or who has held high office. Even a first-term lawmaker can be great if they can best reflect the voices of citizens that this era and politics demand. I will do my utmost to listen to the voices of the citizens of Gwangju Gwangsan and reflect them in politics."
