Shinan Police Station Holds Regular Meeting of Security Advisory Council

New Member Appointment Ceremony... Delivery of Settlement Support Funds for North Korean Defectors

On the 28th, the Shinan Police Station in Jeonnam (Chief Lee Eulsin) announced that it held the '2024 Security Advisory Council Regular Meeting and New Member Appointment Ceremony' in the 3rd-floor conference room, attended by 17 people including members of the Security Advisory Council (Chairman Lee Chungkwang).

At this event, 12 new members from various professions such as CEOs of companies in the Shinan area, corporate executives and employees, media, education, and self-employed individuals were appointed to help North Korean defectors who are struggling to settle in society, creating a meaningful opportunity to discuss support measures for the resettlement of North Korean defectors.

Along with the appointment ceremony for the 12 new members, the event served as an occasion to confirm the members' commitment to assist North Korean defectors in need within Shinan County and to foster unity among them.

Chief Lee Eulsin expressed, "I deeply appreciate the continuous interest and support for the resettlement of North Korean defectors despite difficult times," and urged, "I ask for your continued efforts for North Korean defectors facing hardships in Shinan."

He added, "We will become the Shinan Police that can provide not only safety but also peace of mind to the residents of Shinan County."
