The Democratic Party of Korea Daejeon City Party Election Countermeasures Committee held a kickoff rally for the 22nd National Assembly election and the by-election on the 28th at Eunseongjeongi Skyroad in Jung-gu, pledging to make April 10 a day of national victory.
On this day, Standing Advisors Park Byeong-seok and Seon Byeong-ryeol, Co-Chairmen of the Standing Election Countermeasures Committee Heo Tae-jeong, along with candidates △ Jang Cheol-min (Dong-gu) △ Park Yong-gap (Jung-gu) △ Jang Jong-tae (Seogu Gap) △ Jo Seung-rae (Yuseong Gap) △ Hwang Jeong-a (Yuseong Eul) △ Park Jeong-hyeon (Daedeok) △ Kim Je-seon (Jung-gu Mayor candidate) and campaign workers attended to vow certain victory.
Standing Advisor Park Byeong-seok emphasized, “Since the launch of the Yoon Seok-yeol government, livelihoods, the economy, freedom of the press, democratic development, international relations, and inter-Korean relations have all been in crisis. We must stop this reckless rule,” adding, “Together with verified and capable Democratic Party candidates, we must create a country where tomorrow is better than today, a hopeful country where even if one fails in life, they can stand up again.”
Co-Chairman of the Standing Election Countermeasures Committee Park Beom-gye raised his voice, saying, “On April 10, we must judge the Yoon Seok-yeol regime. If we do not judge, the Yoon Seok-yeol government will continue its reckless rule, and the incompetent Yoon Seok-yeol government will decisively collapse the national dignity of the Republic of Korea.”

Following this, Standing Co-Chairman Jang Cheol-min took the podium and declared, “We must turn pain into hope. We must change through the general election,” adding, “Our Republic of Korea must be truly Korea. I will walk the path of victory together with the citizens.”
Heo Tae-jeong, former mayor of Daejeon and Standing Co-Chairman of the Election Countermeasures Committee, said, “These days, when I visit traditional markets, people say, ‘We really can’t make a living,’ and ‘The economy is much worse than during the IMF crisis or the pandemic,’” urging, “Let’s run together so that April 10 can be a day of victory for the Democratic Party, victory for the people, and judgment on the regime.”
Candidates Park Yong-gap (Jung-gu), Jang Jong-tae (Seogu Gap), Jo Seung-rae (Yuseong Gap), Hwang Jeong-a (Yuseong Eul), Park Jeong-hyeon (Daedeok), and Kim Je-seon (Jung-gu Mayor) also appealed for the support of Daejeon citizens to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol regime, which has neglected the people through livelihood collapse, humiliating diplomacy, and R&D budget cuts, and to achieve victory for the Democratic Party across all regions of Daejeon.
