The Gwangsan Police Station in Gwangju conducted crime prevention education for about 250 foreign students at Gwangju Women's University to mark the new semester.
This education was organized with a focus on "types of crimes that international students must know," with officers from the Crime Prevention Division of the Gwangsan Police Station visiting the school in person.
Le Thi Oc Thuy (female, 21), a Vietnamese language training student, said, "It was a meaningful education because I could learn about sexual violence prevention and Korean laws," adding, "Especially since the police gave the lecture themselves, it was easier to understand, and I want to study more about Korea and have a fulfilling study abroad experience."
