Gwangju Bank recently held a donation ceremony for the 'Study Room Environment Improvement and Learning Care Support Project' at its headquarters, attended by Hwang Young-gi, Chairman of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, Ko Byung-il, President of Gwangju Bank, and other officials, the bank announced on the 28th.
This sponsorship is part of the livelihood financial support measures aimed at improving the aging facilities of children’s centers in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions and supporting the insufficient staff at these centers through employment linkage with local university students.
The 'Hope Blossoms Volunteer Group,' composed of about 30 university students selected for employment linkage, will receive scholarships and serve as after-school learning instructors, thereby alleviating the staffing shortages at local children’s centers and promoting the healthy growth of vulnerable elementary school students who are in blind spots of care.
