Reappointment of CEO Jeong Seong-pil at the Regular Shareholders' Meeting

CJ Freshway announced that it will focus on building an online and offline omni-channel to target the foodservice ingredient distribution market.

CEO Jung said, “We will accelerate company-wide execution by fostering a professional MD organization and advancing the last-mile delivery system,” adding, “Ultimately, we will secure a super-gap capability by integrating an online platform with offline infrastructure such as industry-leading products and logistics.”

He also said, “Based on improved cash flow, we will create a shareholder-friendly investment environment,” and “We will strive to provide stable dividend payments by establishing a mid-term shareholder return policy using the dividend per share indicator.”

CEO Jung emphasized, “Although there are many challenges this year, we will not lose the 'Only One' spirit of being first, best, and differentiated, and will seek new business opportunities to transform into a 'Food Business Solution Company.'”

CJ Freshway recorded its highest-ever performance last year, with sales increasing by 11.9% year-on-year to 3.0742 trillion KRW and operating profit rising by 1.4% to 99.3 billion KRW. The expansion of food ingredient distribution customers and the strong group catering business drove the results, while IT infrastructure expansion and logistics efficiency also had an impact.

At the shareholders' meeting, the approval of the financial statements (with a planned dividend of 450 KRW per share), approval of partial amendments to the articles of incorporation, reappointment of inside director Jung Sung-pil, new appointment of inside director Lee Han-me, and approval of the director remuneration limit were all passed as originally proposed.
