Dong-gu, Daejeon announced on the 28th that it has signed a business agreement with Sannae Nonghyup and Geumgang Brewery Co., Ltd. to commercialize Sannae Grape Beer.
According to the agreement, Dong-gu will provide administrative support to open sales channels for Sannae Grape Beer, Sannae Nonghyup will ensure stable procurement of raw materials for the grape beer such as Shine Muscat, and Geumgang Brewery Co., Ltd. will be responsible for product development, production, and sales of Sannae Grape Beer.

Since September last year, the district has started discussions on production methods and procedures with Daejeon University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and beer manufacturers, beginning the development of Sannae Grape Beer, holding three tasting events to explore improvement directions.
The prototype of Sannae Grape Beer will be available at the 2024 Daecheongho Cherry Blossom Festival to be held on the 29th.
Mayor Park Hee-jo of Dong-gu said, “Sannae Grape Beer is a new food product utilizing local agricultural products that will help promote agricultural product consumption, increase farmers’ income, and revitalize the local economy,” adding, “We will actively strive to make Sannae Grape Beer a competitive product in the beer market.”
