Application to Uljugun Environmental Resources Department by the 12th of next month
On the 28th, Ulju-gun announced that it will support a heat-reflective paint coating project to improve indoor environments for households vulnerable to climate change.
The heat-reflective paint coating project for vulnerable households is implemented with support from the Ministry of Environment to assist vulnerable groups who have difficulty coping with the effects of climate change such as heatwaves.
This project uses heat-blocking functional paint that reflects sunlight on the exterior surfaces of buildings, blocking heat inflow and lowering indoor temperatures, thereby contributing to improved cooling efficiency and reduced energy costs.
The support targets single-person households in Ulju-gun aged 65 or older living in old houses, who are recipients of livelihood, medical, or housing benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act.
Those wishing to apply for the project can submit the application form, site photos, recipient certificates, and other related documents to the Ulju-gun Environmental Resources Division by the 12th of next month.
An official from Ulju-gun stated, “We will protect vulnerable groups in response to climate change and strive to reduce greenhouse gases and achieve carbon neutrality. We hope many Ulju-gun residents will show interest and apply for this project.”
