The Intensifying 'Lee Jae-myung's Mouth'... "Yoon, the Main Culprit Behind South Korea's Regression"

Official Election Campaign Starts Today... Emphasizing 'Regime Judgment Theory'
Lee Jae-myung "Will Be a Useful Tool for Regime Judgment"
Rising Speech Intensity... Actively Utilizing 'Economic Mismanagement Theory'

Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, officially kicked off the election campaign by labeling President Yoon Suk-yeol as "the main culprit who regressed South Korea in just two years." Attention is focused on Lee Jae-myung's 'words,' which have been increasingly sharp day by day to emphasize the 'regime judgment theory.'

On the morning of the 28th, around 10 a.m., the Democratic Party held the 'Regime Judgment and People's Victory Election Countermeasures Committee Launch Ceremony' at Yongsan Station Plaza in Seoul. Lee Jae-myung stated, "Due to the regime's incompetence, people's livelihoods have collapsed and the economy has been devastated," adding, "Because of the regime's violence that has repeatedly silenced voices, the status of our exemplary democratic nation, once proud worldwide, has also fallen." He continued, "The Yoon Suk-yeol regime has deceived the people throughout the two years," and emphasized, "The Democratic Party will be a useful tool to firmly realize the people's overwhelming will for judgment, and we will throw everything for the bright future of this country."

The choice of 'Yongsan' as the venue for the launch ceremony carries the intention to maximize the emphasis on the regime judgment theory, which is the slogan for the general election. Yongsan Station Plaza is only 1.2 km in a straight line from the Presidential Office. During a field campaign on the 13th, Lee also mentioned this symbolism, stressing, "It is important to win in the electoral district where the Presidential Office is located and show our people that we have clearly held the Yoon Suk-yeol regime accountable for the past two years." The placards held by the Democratic Party leadership that day also bore phrases such as "Can't live like this, let's judge" and "Let's revive South Korea."

To raise the judgment sentiment, Lee has been touring various regions nationwide, delivering strong remarks daily. On the 17th, at Dongtan Lake Park in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, he said, "If a whip doesn't work, they should be fired," implying impeachment. There have been several controversial cases as well. He asked young male voters, "You wouldn't vote for the second candidate, right?" and used the phrase "even in Gangwon" while criticizing the People Power Party's 'Gyeonggi Province Legislative Act,' later apologizing for it. On the 26th, he also sparked controversy by likening the government to "a stepmother who only hits" and "a stepfather," which was seen as disparaging remarried families.

Lee, who emphasized 'keeping one's mouth shut' until the final stages of candidate nominations, continues to use strong expressions despite controversies, which is interpreted as a strategy to attract potential progressive supporters and even moderate voters who harbor resentment toward the government. It is also a measure to check the dispersal of proportional representation votes to the Jo Guk Innovation Party, which caused a stir with its 'clarity strategy.' Depending on the time and place, he sometimes throws a curveball with the 'economic failure theory.' Last weekend, when visiting Songpa District in Seoul, classified as a 'tough battleground,' he proposed a 'livelihood recovery support fund' of 250,000 won for every citizen.

Meanwhile, after finishing the launch ceremony schedule, Lee Jae-myung headed straight to the 'Hangang Belt.' First, he visited Wangsimni Station to campaign in support of Jeon Hyun-hee, candidate for Seoul Jung-gu and Seongdong-gu Gap. Former Blue House Chief of Staff Lim Jong-seok, who was excluded after preparing to run in this district, also joined. In the afternoon, he moved to Dongjak District, classified as a close contest area, planning to sequentially support candidates Ryu Sam-young for Dongjak-gu Eul and Kim Byung-gi for Dongjak-gu Gap.
