Overcoming Population Decline, Youth Employment, and 6 Key Topics
From the 29th of this month until the 11th of next month, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the "2024 First Half Icheon City Policy Proposal Contest."
The contest themes include ▲Customized population policies to overcome population decline and aging ▲Policies to improve the quality of life for young people and create jobs ▲Policies to promote local consumption and revitalize neighborhood markets ▲Carbon neutrality practices that can be implemented in daily life ▲Policies to activate tourism, culture, and festivals ▲and other creative policies for city administration development, totaling six categories.
Any Icheon citizen can participate. Entries can be submitted via email or through the "2024 First Half Icheon City Policy Proposal Contest" section under Idea Participation - Idea Collection on the National Idea Platform.
The city will select winners in May after reviewing submitted ideas through relevant departments and the proposal review committee. The awards include ▲1 Grand Prize winner (1,000,000 KRW) ▲2 Excellence Prize winners (500,000 KRW each) ▲3 Encouragement Prize winners (300,000 KRW each) ▲and 5 Effort Prize winners (100,000 KRW each).
A city official stated, "Through this contest, we aim to discover diverse and creative proposals from citizens and actively reflect them in city administration."
