Vitalizing People's Livelihoods and Revitalizing Local Economy Projects
Supplementary Projects to Present a Sustainable Future Vision
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the first supplementary budget of the year was finalized at 704.4 billion KRW through the original approval at the 301st extraordinary session plenary meeting.
This supplementary budget increased by 45.8 billion KRW (6.96%) from the original budget of 658.6 billion KRW to 704.4 billion KRW. The general account was increased by 37.7 billion KRW (6.59%) to 610.5 billion KRW, and the special account was increased by 8.1 billion KRW (9.43%) to 93.9 billion KRW, respectively.
On the revenue side, the general account reflected 1.4 billion KRW in local allocation tax, 200 million KRW in city-county adjustment grants, and 7.5 billion KRW in national subsidies. The shortfall in revenue was covered by allocating 28.5 billion KRW from the financial stabilization fund held as a reserve.
This supplementary budget was organized focusing on projects to revitalize people’s livelihoods and the local economy, as well as subsidy projects aimed at presenting a sustainable future vision for Boseong.
Major projects include ▲establishing a tea industry cooperation system in the Boseong-Hadong area to foster high-income agriculture, forestry, livestock, and fisheries ▲supporting marketing for agricultural products exported to China ▲pilot aquaculture introducing alternative species of new cockles in Deukryang Bay ▲rural new vitality promotion project in Gunnong Port ▲support for renovation of rice drying and storage facilities ▲creation of a green tea village workation project.
For SOC projects closely related to residents’ lives and education, culture, and welfare projects, the budget includes ▲new construction of Beolgyo public bus terminal ▲creation of public parking lots in urban areas ▲construction of Hoecheon baseball stadium ▲park golf course development ▲Boseong Culture 600 project ▲expansion of senior job and social activity support ▲glocal convergence talent development and historical cultural exploration.
Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, said, “Based on the stable financial foundation we have built so far, we will speedily promote large-scale projects attracted during the 7th and 8th local government terms so that residents can personally experience the development and change of Boseong. This supplementary budget will not only contribute to revitalizing people’s livelihoods and the happiness of residents but also serve as a foundation for the future growth of Boseong-gun.”
